The Role
We are looking for senior-level IT systems persons to join us as we continue to grow into one of the most respected IT services firms in Portland. This position requires a technical hands-on, in-the-field, get it done type individual who can also help develop new ideas, cultivate new relationships and create opportunities for growth. A new wave is upon us in the IT consulting industry and we need people that not only embrace the change but help create it!

The ProComp Group LLC (PCG) is a small and fast-growing nine-year-old IT systems consulting firm that provides services and support to small- and medium-sized businesses. Responsive, personalized service is our signature, and we work closely with our clients and their staffs. Qualifications
This position requires a minimum of eight years in the industry with at least four years of direct consulting experience in the small- to mid-sized business environment. The ideal candidate will have a blend of business experience, hands-on technical ability and natural soft skills.
The position requires strong knowledge and hands-on experience with:
- Microsoft Products including; Windows XP/Vista/7, Windows Small Business Server 2003/2008, Windows Server 2003/2008, Active Directory, Exchange, SQL, IIS, SharePoint, Office Communications Server, Terminal Services, etc.
- Targeted core competencies including; desktop and server virtual computing (Hyper-V/VMWare), imaging (StorageCraft), storage and archiving (NAS/DAS, near-line), green and sustainable IT, etc.
- Networking at all seven layers including; DHCP, DNS, VPN, proxies, firewalls and LAN/WAN routing/switching
- Hardware including; general small- to medium-business environment hardware (HP, Dell, Cisco, SonicWALL, etc.)
- Third-party infrastructure solutions including; back-up and disaster recovery, document management, collaboration, security, antivirus/antispam systems, etc.
Other requirements:
- Good communications skills (both written and oral), including the ability to discuss technical issues patiently and comfortably with users at all levels, from the CEO to the front desk.
- Collaborative, team-player approach.
- Entrepreneurial nature with the ability to identify and follow up on opportunities with existing and potential new clients
- Self-discipline with the ability to work independently and take responsibility for quality of work.
- Organized.
- Loves technology but has other interests/hobbies!
- Certifications, including MCITP, MCSE/MCSA, MCTS or Microsoft Small Business Specialist, are not required but highly desired.
Compensation
Salary will be commensurate with experience and structured on a base-plus-commission plan.
