Study: Beware of women with chocolate
September 25 2009
A tech-security group called Infosecurity Europe found that 21% of London office workers would give their computer passwords to an attractive woman with a clipboard out on the street.
Sixty-one percent also provided their birthdates, and half said they used the same password for everything.
What price did participants demand for this critical security information? They got a chocolate bar for participating.
The survey, reported in the Wall Street Journal, noted that these results, while dismal from a security perspective, were an improvement over last year, when 64% percent of respondents provided the information on the same survey.
