PCG signs another IT Specialist
August 15 2011
Forget about point guards and power forwards -- at PCG, it's technical talent we aim to draft. After eight years as an independent consultant, new IT Specialist recruit Rob Woodruff suited up for practice with the ProComp Group this week. His background as a one-man shop gives him experience supporting clients in a wide range of industries and multiple platforms, including both desktop and servers. He's also a great teammate and we think you'll enjoy getting to know him!
Merging ahead!

Starting Monday, the current ProComp Group joins forces with colleague Walt Bell and his firm, MicroComputer Consultation, to form a bigger, stronger, "groupier" ProComp Group. Walt has been serving IT clients in the Portland area for the past 28 years and brings not only his technology skillset but also his business acumen to his role as a principal with PCG (see his bio on our Team page). With Walt's addition, our capacity to meet clients' needs expands synergistically. We welcome MicroComputer Consultation's clients to the new PCG and look forward to getting acquainted!
New faces at PCG!

The ProComp Group is excited to introduce new IT System Specialists Paul LaVigne and Adam Fricke, who came on board this week. Paul has more than a decade of systems administration experience with several Bay Area firms, and Adam brings extensive systems troubleshooting and repair experience. We look forward to having you meet them during your next support call or visit!
We also bid a sad farewell this month to Grant Low, who accepted a position with a large-enterprise employer. We're sure our clients will miss Grant's cheerful energy the same way we'll miss it in the office. We wish him and his family the best and look forward to keeping in touch.
PCG welcomes new bookkeeper

Claudia Fransen joined the ProComp Group this week as our new accounts manager, taking the place of Suzanne Kent, who accepted a full-time accounting position with a firm in downtown Portland. Claudia started her accounting career in Fresno, California after finishing her degree; she and her family recently moved to Portland.
We wish Suzanne the best in her new job and welcome Claudia to our office!
Congratulations to Grant on MCTS certification!
June 6 2010
Systems specialist Grant Low has a new feather in his cap and more initials after his name -- MCTS, for "Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist" -- after passing his certification exam last week on Microsoft Small Business Server 2008. Microsoft's certification programs are designed to validate knowledge and proficiency with various applications. They're considered badges of honor in the IT profession and keep our skill sets up-to-date. On a similar subject, we're happy to mark Grant's second anniversary with the ProComp Group and thank him for another year of great client service!
